MEGAfauna considers how we interact with the natural environment, often utilizing the Arctic of Alaska as backdrop. In confronting mega-sized wildlife, we consider coexistence with these massive creatures. This has become a genuine concern as the climate rapidly changes in this prone part of the world.

After many years on the edges of Alaska, I am intimately familiar with daily interactions with wildlife, exacerbated by the dramatic effects of global warming at northern latitudes. The exaggerated scale of the animals in these paintings casts them as an undeniable representation of the environment, primed for our reevaluation.
